I hear the difference when he switches between them but it really is not that great. Also a good point about putting two of these side by side and you have a KOT. This should help drop the prices on the originals too. Analog Mike getting wise to the idea that people want this pedal and if he can't deliver, China will!

I will buy one. Have been unlucky (lazy) on the POT Wednesday's.

I'm not up to date on these although my name should be up very very soon for the KOT.

Are the POT no longer available?

didnt know these were bluesbreaker based. not something id probably use much but ill probably give one a try eventually

Possibly. The market will soon tell us but a "pretty much" clone (dot) of another "pretty much" clone (pot) may keep the purists pure.

People will swear it doesn't sound the same even if it actually does and then use that as an argument to sell their original PoT for outlandish prices for the "realest" experience
That's what I'm trying to do here.

It isnt the same, the parts arent the same so it cant be the same. Your eyes are the same as your ears. You must have the KOT or TGP will laugh at you.

I'll sell you my KOT when it comes in.

POTs are pretty easy to get and don't have a waitlist, you just need to refresh Analogman's store at 1PM eastern on Wednesdays or something. I got one on my first try. :dunno: This will be nice to get them distributed in shops all over though, similar to the MXR Timmy. Though the MXR Timmy is also a $70 discount vs the PaulC version while the POT is already only $150, so for an extra $20 I'd just get the Analogman version.

I DID hear a difference when he went back and forth between the POT and the duke though. Slightly warmer and deeper but not enough to really care though. He mentions that the POT also has long waits now so no, I don't think POT or KOT will stop production. This is just for him to bank some $ instead of someone in Ghangzuan province. ( disclaimer: I made that province name up)

Is this a fender overdrive pedal? every demo is played through a fender amp for "light" overdrive. geezer pedal?

It's funny from the time Dunlop posted that video last night to this morning, there are now like 30 video demos out there. So funny how social media works. Everybody gets the pedal, records their video and then wait for it...... wait..... ok GO! Post and get your views NOW!

It's an overdrive based on the old Marshall Bluesbreaker pedal. It's basically a middy overdrive pedal, kind of like a Tubescreamer, but with a few more tonal and clipping options. Not great as a boost into an amp for more gain, but pretty nice to cut through as a standalone od, or layering with other ods, for country blues alternative classic rock type stuff. I had one for a while and it was ok. I don't get the big deal about the POT or KOT.

Agreed. I think the clone I have sounds really good into clean and slight breakup, good into an overdriven amp, but not "better" than any other TS variant really.

Placed my order today for one. Had the 68 Pedals KOT clone and it was good but not great for me but I have different amps now so maybe. If it is not getting it done, will have 30 days to send it back. And F the Sweetwater card! Saw the Andy Apple Red Halo delay and bought that too. :bash:

That kind of tone is one that I’m chasing. Looking for a good OD type pedal to get that in between clean and crunch, like a crunchy sparkly kind of sound using a pedal in front of a high gain amp’s “clean” channel. If this is a tone that you use and you didn’t like the POT or KOT, what are you using?

I had heard this was coming out, may have to pick one up. I used to have a Tweaked BYOC bluesbreaker and always liked it, not like I need another OD, but its small.
