MXR MC404 Wah - Sweep and Trim Pots

Just got this a few weeks ago and I love the options. I mainly stay on Yellow, but one thing I noticed recently is that the sweep/range seems to not be too wide. It seems to stay on the fat side until you get really close to all the way down, then it opens wide. Does that make sense?

Anyone find the sweep a bit limited on this one?

Also, can that be adjusted with the internal trim pot?

I don't notice that with mine but a friend who has it feels the same as you so you're not alone. It may be a pot issue? I used to try pots in my wahs like some people try tubes...its crazy how much they can vary.

I just plugged in my Budda Budwah and it definitely just sounds and feels better...which sucks! I love the options. the MXR sounds really good, but my Budda just works better for now.

BTW, I played with the trim pots and they didn't change the sweep. Still, it's a great pedal, but right now it hasn't knocked off my Budda wah.

I'm curious about change the pot for the sweep...
