So today was the first day I've been able to do some side by side comparisons on these 3.
Prestige RG2770QZA, Prestige Rg3120, J Custom 1680.I show them left to right in the order of neck thickness. the 2770 is the thinnest , the 3120 falls right in the middle and the 1680 is the chunkiest.
I love them all, they all sound almost Identical , except the 1680 has a Paf Pro in the neck the other two have Air Nortons, so those actually sound fatter.
The 2770 is the liveliest harmonically, harmonics just jump off of the board on that thing, but I have noticed I vastly prefer the LoPro Edge over the Edge Zero.
They are both equally stable from what I can tell , but I prefer how my picking hand sits on the LoPro. I have the 2770 up for sale but if it doesn't sell soon I'll probably take it down , it's the closest thing I've seen to a J Custom without being a J Custom that I've come across so far and it's basically in unplayed condition (except for what I'm doing with it now
)
Which is my favorite?Tthe J Custom
but I could live with having any one of them be my only RG
