So today was the first day I've been able to do some side by side comparisons on these 3.
Prestige RG2770QZA, Prestige Rg3120, J Custom 1680.I show them left to right in the order of neck thickness. the 2770 is the thinnest , the 3120 falls right in the middle and the 1680 is the chunkiest.
I love them all, they all sound almost Identical , except the 1680 has a Paf Pro in the neck the other two have Air Nortons, so those actually sound fatter.
The 2770 is the liveliest harmonically, harmonics just jump off of the board on that thing, but I have noticed I vastly prefer the LoPro Edge over the Edge Zero.
They are both equally stable from what I can tell , but I prefer how my picking hand sits on the LoPro. I have the 2770 up for sale but if it doesn't sell soon I'll probably take it down , it's the closest thing I've seen to a J Custom without being a J Custom that I've come across so far and it's basically in unplayed condition (except for what I'm doing with it now :) )
Which is my favorite?Tthe J Custom :) but I could live with having any one of them be my only RG

I’ve got a 91 RG770 that is probably my most played guitar. I don’t know what it is, its just a really really good guitar.

I'm actually thinking about trying a 570, the neck should be similar to the one on my 3120 but 1MM wider, which I would really like.

I had a 3120 once....GREAT guitar.
It's fun to play but really surprised me is how good it sounds, I guess having 4mm maple on top of the mahogany, can really make a difference.
It's actually a pretty light guitar as well.

I’m convinced that the only people who say “I like the Edge Zero” are people who have convinced themselves to like it, despite getting the feeling every time they touch the bar of “it’s not a LoPro”. It’s even crazier to me that they started popping up on J-Customs!

Those are some killer guitars, man! And a badass amp!!

I used to have a 3120 in red like yours, was probably the nicest Ibanez I ever played. Another one of those guitars I should have held on to. Nice collection.
