my band is opening for Dokken this friday!

Dokken played around here a little over a year ago.
My Buddy's band opened for them, and the official draw in the door was a little over 900 people.

That was a lot better than I had expected.


I'd put the Majority of the Blame on the Promoter and the supporting local bands if only 12 people showed up

Yeah it was the craziest thing seeing a comletely empty parking lot. Absolutely more vendors than fans attending.

Best part of it all, two blocks North there was a Zombie Pub Crawl running West to East that had literally HUNDREDS of people, if not a couple thousand participating. You could easily hear the music for several blocks, yet nobody was curious enough to check it out.

That's a great story about the parking lot concert. I get secretly annoyed if not enough people are dancing to a song when I play a wedding/function with the bands I play in, so I can't imagine how bad it must be to go from playing arenas in your heyday to virtually empty rainy parking lots!

Good on the rest of the band for carrying on and putting on a good show from what it sounds like.

A little kid had made a really cool dokken sign out of cardboard. Everyone else including my band signed it happily but when it came to Don, he told the kid "he wasn't signing some stupid piece of cardboard"!!! The look on that poor little guys face of disgust

To top it off I found out that he was complaining because our volume was too loud! He should have tipped the sound guy before the show like I always do!

Yea man if I could have punched him without getting mauled by security I damn sure would have.

Three weeks ago I took my seven year old son to Tesla and they treated him like a damn VIP. That's how Don should have treated that poor kid. The rest of the guys in dokken had the same look of disgust that we all did.
