Hey guys, check this out. My band opened for Bret Michaels in Fon Du Lac WI at the Shack on Wednesday. Here's a few clips...

(Yes, I'm the one with the hair haha)

Crowd of over 900 people by the time we finished our set... I was shitting my pants. Biggest show I've done yet. I'm still figuring out how to retube my 900 so BJ (guitarist, stage left) loaned me his 30th anniversary Marshall to use for the night. I used the Lead channel w/ an SD-1 for solos. Worked like a charm, but I gotta get my 900 up and running again. hahaha

I talked briefly w/ Pete Evick after their set. He told me he was running all his amps/FX's off of an iPad.... :scared: I was dumbfounded, his tone was actually killer and not digital sounding at all. I didn't ask what actual apps and stuff he was running, I was just dumbfounded at the fact guys are touring that way these days... Nuts!! Anybody else do that??

He's probably using that BIAS app. It appears to be really cool, and what I've heard from it sounds really good.

It's awesome, but wow, I don't know if I'd have the balls to actually do an entire set that way.

Could be using that Digitech IPad thing (can't think of the model name)

Cool hair... and not afraid to let it fly ! Sounds good man.

That is the RP1000 thing that has an iPad dock.

Could be, though to be honest, BIAS is every bit as good as any of the hardware modelers, short of the Kemper/Axe, IMO. I'm selling my HD500 because it's now collecting dust. BIAS is that good.

Thanks for the props guys!! Yeah I'm still trying to Google what he had.... The crazy things you can do with technology these days, eh?? haha I'll check out the BIAS thing... Not like I'm considering going that route anytime soon, it just blew my mind that he was touring with a rig that was completely based off of an iPad software... It sparked my curiosity so I wanna try to learn more about it. Guys have ran sound for me that way before but I guess the thought of running a guitar that way is just crazy foreign to me... ha

I'm curious about Bias as I've read several great reviews on it. But how would you change patches in live situation? The Digitech thing that incorporates the iPad (ipb-10), makes it simple.

Original poster: your vids sounded really good...kinda overpowered the camera mics :)

Thanks Drew! :) That was our 5th show (3rd with me). Yeah, our sound guy just shot those on his phone... The ones on his camera turned out even worse!! haha As far as patch changes, that's a question I have too... I didn't see him or his tech doing any switching onstage and he DEFINITELY had a lead/clean boost/switcher going on... Wild. haha

Most of the apps respond just fine to MIDI, so if you're using an interface like the Roland Duo Capture EX that's got both audio and MIDI i/o, you're fine. Also, there are a couple bluetooth controllers out now too.

You guys killed TNT. Loved the singer on that one.. he's got pipes! Let's face it, you need a singer if you want to gig successfully.

This is pretty neat! I'm definitely going to have a gander at the Bias app. So cool!

Positive Grid also make a bluetooth controller, but imo this IK media one looks it would hold up better.
