so we recently got back the recording of a new tune we just put out. we have some old stuff out, but recently had a line up change and added a new bassist and vocalist. this is the sum of the efforts. I figured I would throw this out for people to check out if they like. any constructive criticism is fine, but there is no need for hating, as it is just something we do for fun. anyways if yall would like feel free to check it out. it is free to listen to, but no refunds on time wasted

It sounds good.. i like it.. the only thing I am going to hate on is that there are zero dynamics because everything is pumped up and mastered to the point of digitally smearing every single last instrument. for the love of god we all need to turn down people. That's what a volume knob on my laptop or speakers is for. The whole rythm section here just clipped together in one massive ear assault.

I liked it brother! Catchy tune! I like all of your music that you've allowed me to hear! Keep up the good work brother !

Sounded great! I was wanting to hear a nice solo in there but otherwise, awesome song and great singer.

Cool tune!! I really dig your tone.

thanks !

honestly though for the intro mainly I was less than pleased with the tone, but it worked out. we tried some different stuff for this one though

thanks man, much appreciated. there was talk of working a solo into it, but we ended up passing on the idea. there is some other music in the works that will have some solo's and stuff, but for this one we just made the group decision to leave it out.

I think it the mix sounds darn good through my decent quality computer speakers. I like the singer too. The bass guitar sounds awesome & I definitely like the guitar tone. Sounds like a song that could make the radio IMO.
What guitars and amps/speaker cabs did you use on this track?

You guys sound great! My band is in the middle of recording and I'll be stoked if our production is anywhere near that good!
This is our first time in a legit studio recording, so curious of your process? Are you guys doing everything yourselves, or at a studio with an engineer? Whatever you're doing, you're doing it right

the guitar was my carvin CT3, with BKP miracle man pickups. the amp was my EVH stealth head, into an ISO cab with two celestion greenbacks that had a mic right in the middle of them. the gain was ran at dang near zero on the red channel for the majority of the song, with a maxon out front just for a bit of a clean boost and to tighten things up. the intro was done similarly but on the blue channel instead.

we use a local studio for the recording and engineering. the mastering is done out of Houston texas but I cant remember the name right off the bat for who does it. this song was co produced with the engineer for the most part.

we did a scratch track with a single guitar track, then recorded drums. after we had the drums the way we were happy with I went in and tracked all of the guitar parts followed by the bass. the vocals were last. it has been how we recorded everything we have done and seems to work out fine for us.

BTW, thanks for the kind words fellas !

That sounds great man! don't let anyone tell you otherwise!! You rock!

Yes sir ! That is the carvin ....

It's also the stealth that I sold you !

Most of the time its the singer that kills a band for me, not the case here.. Solid Effort by all!! Thanks for sharing.
