I've been wanting to have some nice sounds to do some "plugged-in" playing while watching TV and since I have a Kemper, I figured I'd grab one of the Atomic CLR wedges. I have this little cubby in my family room and the Kemper and CLR fit perfectly in it so it isn't an eyesore to my wife - just looks like a sub-woofer or something. Sounds killer even at very low volume and instead of 1 amp, I've got tons to choose from. Really love my Cherry Bomb profile for heavier and The Amp Factory Tone King Imperial profiles for clean and slightly dirty sounds with my tele and strat. Definitely makes you want to play more than just sitting there with an unplugged electric. Check it out:

Two questions and a statement:
- How is your hand / everything still A+ ?
- What the hell is the cubby originally intended for (wood for fireplace, laundry chute, escape hatch, etc)?
- Congrats on the cool family room, practice set-up idea.

Nice Steve! Check out the Michael Britt profiles...you won't be disappointed.

Nice to hear from an amp builder that the Kemper rocks as well as the CLR. Kind of helps me make the decision on the CLR a bit easier, so many thanks for the post! Hope your hand is healing.

Well... the first botox shots lasted about a month (awesome!) but pretty abruptly, I was back to not being able to play. I just had the second set of shots (even more botox this time) and this time the effects seem to take hold more gradually. At the week mark last time, I was rippin', this time, not so much... However, it's been getting better and better and I'm back to playing close to my best. Still getting the curling on bar chords, but otherwise mostly good. A little disappointed this time, but maybe it will be more gradual and last longer this time. Either way, better than not playing at all. Put it this way, I WANT to pick up my guitar and before the treatment, I didn't pick it up for a month or more because it felt horrible to play...

Dunno   Best guess is wood storage for the fireplace. It has an electrical outlet though, which made it perfect for this!

Thanks man!

Is that a 1/4" Jack wired into your wall? That is pretty badass I must say.

Nah - that silver thing opens the fireplace flue.

Oh haha

Well that would be pretty awesome.

Either way is a nice setup for the Homestead.
