My new Chubtone

Just got this in the mail from Chubtone! It looks and feels incredible in person. I was shopping for a charvel when I stumbled upon these guys and now I'm bummed to find out they are retiring. I've never played a charvel custom shop but there's no comparison whatsoever to the mexican charvels I played. I've owned and sold several suhrs, andersons, schecters, fenders etc. and I'm not just honeymooning when I tell you this is the best super strat I've ever played. Just playing it unplugged it resonates like my fender custom shop wildwood 10. The evh pickups we went with sound massive. i was a little worried because I've never been a jb guy or even a high output pickup guy, but this guitar has all the complexity and warmth that my vintage inspired guitars have. I was inspired after hearing John Mayers live tone with his charvel and this guitar is exactly what I was after. It is bittersweet as I will inevitably want another but so stoked that I got one of the last builds.

Nice! I love the Chubtone that I picked up on here last year. So much so that I reached out about a build. Then I learned about them closing up shop later this year and was all aboard getting a build sheet in. Got busy, forgot, and now that window has been closed. Pretty sure that it has been closed anyway. Not sure if they are taking any more orders.
