There is footage up from my new doom band, Nodge playing our first show back in September. There are a ton of mistakes, and it was not a good performance at all, but the Verellen sounded great! My first time ever playing guitar on stage, and my first guitar solo. At least I didn't screw the solo up too bad!

The person recorded two songs back to back. The first was a lousy attempt at an original composition called "Disease", which is about how humanity is infected with diseases in the same way we selfishly destroy the planet. Seems kinda relevant, right? The second song is a cover of the Neil Young song "Don't Let It Bring You Down" played loud as possible.

That was the longest intro ever. You guys rocked pretty hard when it kicked in. Not my kind of music, but you guys sounded pretty good. I tip my hat to ANYONE who writes music and plays it in front of people. That’s a harder thing to do than, say, running around naked in public.

Makes me miss playing out, sounds good man thanks for sharing

Cool! Hope we get clearance to start hitting stages again soon!

Yeah, the drummer couldn't hear the delay to time it up and come in properly. You can see me try to give him visual cues. Learned a lot about the value of the drum monitor mix and balancing my clean and lead volumes. It's been better since, but it was a rough start. He missed the end going into the breakdown coda also.

We were supposed to play a 420 show on the 18, but that's since been canceled. It sucks because we were going to play with a great band out of Toledo called Pythian.

Killer!! Congrats and great job. Its a rush!!

There are 0 mistakes when Dooming! Esp if you is singing!

Hell yeah man. Always a great feeling to play that first show!

I gigged out from the time I was 15 up to about 33. You do learn a lot early on that is for sure! Actually can't think of a show where I didn't learn something.

My first actual gigging rig had to sound horrible and I was just not aware. Solid state red knob Fender half stack with some type of dirt pedal in front and the kicker, was going direct to the board! I feel bad for everyone involved that had to hear that. Sounded good to me at the time. I think anyway. Then again that was back in 1987'ish.
