Lugged one around for decades. Two there for awhile. They’re not bad when you have a legit Band trailer.

Back in the day, before my ADA bass rig, I had a 4x10 Mesa cab paired with a Cerwin-Vega 18" folded horn cab...it had a built in handtruck. That was not fun on stairs.

We used to rehearse in one of those old poured concrete basements. Low ceiling with a geeked up set of stairs like every old house in Duluth/Superior had and the bassist had the 8x10 with a SS ampeg head. It was a two man job, one guy at each end. The handle was the lifesaver. Never really been a better mass produced bass cab IMO though. The proof was in the pudding....and the amount of times we got the cops got called on us.

They all sound different too. Whatever drivers they used in the Heritage models ( the last ones made in the US- in Dan’s neck of the woods) I didn’t care much for. I picked my beat to fuck 2006 EAT SHIT cab over the $1500 Heritage.

I've said this previously on the board:
Hauling my Peavey 18/10 bin (1 x 18" and 2 x 10") around to gigs in my mom's 1973 Honda Civic back when I was a teenager was Hella-tough.
The door seals were permanently-damaged due to the fact that there was no way to get the bin onto the back seat without its pressing and scraping quite-hard on them.
If you'd seen the bin and the car you'd have said that there's no way that thing could fit in there.
