Hey guys, I have a Kemper now. I did some test clips to just hear how it sounds through my recording setup. I plan on doing some songs with backing tracks at some point. But for now, I just wanted to have some fun. I debated whether or not to post these. Mainly due to the fact that I am not as satisfied with my playing! LOL I mean; I just recorded these for the fun of it and wasn't trying to do something completely serious. It was to just get some awesome tones!

Anyway, here we go:

Mesa Boogie MKIII Coliseum

Marshall 1987X
https://soundcloud.com/motrock/kpa-1987-test-clip

1970 Marshall Plexi
https://soundcloud.com/motrock/kpa-1970-plexi-clip

My big complaint was that I couldn't get the Plexi to sound as big and loud as the 1987 and Coliseum.

Anyone know how to record on 3 tracks at once in Garageband? I like to do a Left, Center, and Right on my guitar to make it sound louder and fuller. But I have been copying and pasting tracks over and over. Is it possible to record on multiple tracks at once in Garageband? I have an Apogee Duet. The Kemper is hooked in... in stereo.

Well, let me know what you guys think!

Not sure who did the Coliseum.... but man they nailed the Whitesnake tone!

I believe you just arm the three tracks and record.

Those sound great by the way.

I have no idea how to record in Garageband but man those clips  big time!

Sounds very good to me!

Thanks! Yeah, I need some help with Garageband. I have no clue how to record on all 3 at once. I tried to select all 3 and it wouldn't do it. There has to be a menu or some option that I am missing.

All three sound great! Congrats on the Kemper! Which profiles exactly? Are they from the exchange or The Amp Factory profiles? Great results so far.

Thanks man! They come from the Amp Factory except the Mesa MIII. A friend emailed that to me. It sounds awesome. The profile says Pete something. So whoever that is?

That would be okstrat :). Pete's got some grrrrrrrreat profiles for sure!

Thanks! I am going to be doing some more in the next week or so. I want to play with it more this weekend and learn some more things. Eventually I am going to be recording with full song backing tracks. I have a bunch of cover tunes that I can have a blast with.

I plan on having my Blankenship VariPlex and Friedman Browneye profiled. I know a guy that has a studio that I can have it miced up with multiple mics. I have the Scumback Blackbacks(65watts) plus original Celestion Blackbacks. I can't wait to do my own profiling.

My goal is to make my profiles have the same quality and loudness as the Amp Factory. I don't know what they are doing, but it sounds great!

Thanks Steve! I can't wait to do some more. Especially our favorite VH tones!

Ok, here is a new one with the Marshall 1987X. This was the Judas Priest profile that the Amp Factory uploaded. I removed the chorus and just played it like this.

Dare someone to guess the song title and the artist! hehe This is reaching way back and something you don't normally hear.

Haha, I don't know if I should admit to knowing this tune or not, but that's 'Caught In The Game' by Survivor. Dug that band back in the day :gethim:

Tasty Kemper tones  You're not helping my GAS any....

In the menu under Track you have to check 'enable multitrack recording' first. After that you can arm more then one track at a time.

Great stuff! Love for the Kemper!
Yup...Pete's profiles are some of the best! His Ractifier profile is one of my main tones these days! Best donation I've made!

:)

LOL Congrats on getting it! I wasn't sure if anyone would know this tune. I am a huge early Survivor fan. Dave Bickler rocked on vocals and Frankie Sullivan had some amazing chops.

I will have to throw another tune out there and see if anyone can guess it. I am working with some other tones and recording techniques too.
