Can I ask the story with you finding a Charvel that original in this day and age?

How did you get the Charvel?

Whenever I come across a vintage Charvel I try to research it before buying and Tracey Jenkins the San Dimas Charvel expert website guy then buys it by the time I finish my homework.

I am suprised he did not grab this one if it was on the public market.

Killer.

I heard about you getting this guitar last week ;)

FWIW, I know where there is one in pearl white that was owned by Jake E Lee. He dropped the guitar and broke the headstock on it, so he got a new neck from Charvel... but it was pointy. I am thinking I need to buy it :D
If you aren't getting it - can you point me toward it so I can?? :)

Steve

Yeah man, lets here the story behind the buy

Getting a Cameron is a killer thread but sorry man the Charvel is the story here!

Sorry it took me a bit to get back with y'all on how I got the guitar. First things first, as an ass, I mean amp man myself, I traded Ampaddict my Jose for his Aldrich/Ocean plus a little bit of the green stuff???? I've also been tied up trying to get this Meathead deal done, and it is, so now I can tell the Charvel story.

I've got a good friend that goes by Andy Cain on the boards and he has been buying/selling/trading/collecting vintage Charvels/Jacksons for around 20 years. He had a line on 2 early model Charvels and told me I could have my pick of which one I wanted out of the two. The white one was the easy choice going off looks alone, so I picked it. He has over 50 of the San Dimas era stuff, I mean all kinds of stuff!!! When I go to his house, which is about an hour away, I just play one guitar after another from San Dimas Charvels, to Jackson San Dimas soloists, Jackson Firebirds, Charvel Explorers, Charvel Stars...anything and everything you could imagine. I've played Steve Vai's old guitar, Jake E. Lee's old guitar, Gary Pil (sp?) of Boston and Sammy Hagar, used Robbin Crosby's of Ratt's pick to play the same kind of guitar he always played...all kinds of killer stuff. That's where I get most of the guitars I come across though, and it's so awesome because new stuff is always on the way! It's like living in an adult Candy Land!!! He has a stinkin' shrine to Jake E. Lee for God's sake! He's a super cool guy and will send stuff home with me like the good crack dealer he is (just kiddin' Wayne!) to let me play the stuff I like on my own gear at my own house, and he doesn't even say that I have to buy the piece, but I usually do anyway!  But, that's how it went down my friends!

Congrats!! Killer guitar. I have been looking for one for years. Congrats again!! Enjoy.

Awesome score! I miss seeing Wayne's collection but he primarily hangs out on a Charvel site that I no longer visit.

Let me post you dudes some pics of Wayne's World!!!

Better call Wayne and make sure he's cool with it. I didn't disclose any location info?

Oh man that is killer!

That firebird hanging like that scares me and I am not one to usually give a shit about that stuff.

Killer collection!
