My new book Vocal Insanity just released!

I wrote this on your facebook post a couple days ago but you never replied...I'll try again here:

Hey James! I have no interest in becoming a front man but would love to be able to sing a few songs per night at my gigs. Also would like to do a bit of solo acoustic material. Is this book going to help me or is it overkill? I can barely spell "sing" let alone do it...never really did anything more than "gang" backup vocals.

I think it's good for everyone. It's focus is basic vocal function, voice strengthening and increasing range. Not really genre specific at all. I do go into some screaming stuff at the end but if that's not your thing then skip that section.

ps Sorry about not responding on FB.

Just the other day I was bitching to a couple buddies about how I can never find younger dudes who can sing and write music, how it's always held me back when piecing together ideas, because I can always program drums or do instruments myself, but have absolutely no vocal talent to really get an idea finished. I was looking around at articles for the fundamentals of singing, but not too much really seemed to click and excite me about trying to sing... I'll grab a copy of this book. It's only 15 bucks and supports a Rig-Talker, so why the heck not?

I can't wait to check this out. I've tried a few vocal books over the years and nothing has clicked. Might need "in person" lessons maybe. James, do you do Skype lessons per chance??

This is the eBook download link:
Vendera Publishing - New Releases - James Lugo's Vocal

It's also available any day now on Amazon:
Amazon.com: James Lugo's Vocal Insanity (9781936307258): James Lugo, Jaime Vendera: Books

It's a book I wrote many years ago and the publisher got it from me and always loved it and really wanted to release it so with his help we kind of reworked it a bit and here it is. Very meat and potatoes, to the point book.

Good stuff James!
I would LOVE to start singing backup at least, but I don't know the first thing about vocal technique.

Definitely gonna grab this book ASAP...props man, hope you're diggin' NC too!

Just bought this off amazon...could use the help and helps a rig talker!

Congrats! I'd like to pick this up. I can sing but I'd like to add a bit of power and some technique/gravel to my rock singing.
