Just finished my new BYOC stereo Flanger. This is my 4th BYOC pedal ive built and it is the best sounding one so far. I was looking to replace my CH-1 and my Phase 90 with one pedal. The Phase 90 does a better job at phasing but the BYOC gets close in mild settings. I was using the CH-1 to get a mild rotary speaker effect. This BYOC kills it for that. The Flanger doesnt do the super airplane/VH tpye flanger sounds. There is an IC I can order from them that can get those types of sounds.

My buddy is coming over next week with his recording rig. Hopefully I can get some clips made.

Very cool, I've always wanted to try one of those BYOC pedals.

should be interesting to hear one after contemplating getting one for a while

Thats funny, I read the thread title and thought "I need to build the BYOC Flanger i've had laying around"

What are your settings for rotary speaker action? If ya don't mind of course. ;)

They are in the pic. Its kinda reminds me of the effect on "rhinoserous" by the Smashing Pumpkins. Im very happy with this one. This one easily made my board. though it was competing with a CH-1 ;)

Sorry to dredge up a months old post but I really want to try my hand on one of these and the flanger is the one thing I wish I still had on my pedal board. How long did it take to do the build and would you say the BYOC was = to an MXR flange or anywhere close to the Electric Mistress?

I have 4 BYOC kits I ve built. This Flanger really is jaw dropping IMO. Never played thru the EH, but its deffinately better sounding than the MXR. More versatile and more lush. Not counting paint, it took about an 90 minutes to build.

Thanks for the response! I've been ogling those BYOC's for a while but haven't gotten up the nerve to try to build one yet.
