Jeez.....when it rains NGD's, it pours. I had been talking with Ken Lawrence for a couple years for a KL Explorer but his current wait list was 2-3 years. He emailed me to say that a customer had to back out because of Brazilian Rosewood imports into the UK. So, this one was up for grabs---and, I grabbed. Its not everyday one of these role out.
S/N 373 with a Chechan top and cap. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and a black MOP petroglyphic inlay (which is phenomenal). All of Ken's guitars are hand stained and rubbed for days. No paint shop here. He has about a month left on it. It is going to be dressed out with black hardware, green optics, and the new set of JH EMG's.
I am definitely elated and feel damn lucky to have had my number come up. This will conclude my NGD's and suddenly, between this guitar and the current SLO, I am fucking GAS-LESS!
Here it sits in the current stage of completion. I may have to fly to Ken's and hand carry it. Not sure I trust a carrier....And, check out Ken's shop. He is the ultimate OCD of clean
