Not really my thing either. They can be a little awkward to play. But, I will learn to adapt![]()
I love your guitar your getting, i contacted ken a couple months ago about some ideas i had but nothing happened because i didn't wanna wait 2 yrs. I'm kinda sorry i didn't get in touch with him sooner because he had a few extra bodies he started and nobody had deposits on them, i think you will be very happy with it.steve_k":2rjfkc04 said:Les Zombie":2rjfkc04 said:Congrats steve, you already know how i feel about kens guitars, im very happy for you.

I started talking with Ken the other day about having a guitar built, but first I need to figure out what I really want. I kind of want to do my own thing and not have a Hetfield copy. My thing would be to have it laid back and understated... but if I'm going to dump 6+ grand into a guitar I don't want it to be just another jet black Explorer with a different headstock.
So many decisions....

Ken will design for you (at a cost) and inlay what you want. I am not sure what inlay Het has on his guitar and I wouldn't want a duplicate either. Hell, I would be happy with dots, as long as it had the optics. The only thing I did want was the Chechen top and head cap and Brazilian Rosewood. You can't really see it, but the fingerboard wood texture is one of a kind.
