My OCD is so freakin noisy!

I checked all my cables, checked my power supply, and this thing is crazy noisy

I seriously think something is wrong with it My ISP cant even quiet this thing down. It's a V3, I played through a V4 at a buddy's house last week and I was so suprised how quiet his was...even boosting high gain

any suggestions?

Something must be wrong with it. I have two V4 OCDs and they are quiet and sound great. You should send it back to Mike Fuller and get it fixed.

The version 3 has a much different volume taper from V4. Listen to Gearmanndudes OCD comparison on YouTube. Version 3 sounds like the level is pegged no matter where it's set at. I would say it's probably acting the way it normally does.

It doesn't. It's just that the volume taper on V4 is a lot different. Watch the video halfway through when he puts the level on all the pedals all the way up, then the V4 is the same volume as the others.

I didnt watch the vid. but Tom just had his pedal up at my place and compaired it to my V4 OCD. It was quite a bit noisy compaired to mine,,,and seemed to have more gain. Even with the volume up and gain down,still alot of noise.

Cool clip. I like Version 1 the best.... then Version 2 V3 sounds kinda grainy and V4 sounds like it has less volume?

I still prefer the Tim/Timmy

I ordered a Tim back in May and Paul said i would have it in August. According to his website blog it looks like it won't be ready till late October I felt like trying another OCD but i wanted a Version 3 so i bought a V3 from someone off The Gear Page. And a Version 4 showed up But i played around with it on the Fortin...egh....i need this guy to take it back. I think i like regular Maxon Tube Sceamers better than the OCD.

Have not thought about boosting my SLP yet, I will no doubt when using the Yngwie though due to the pups. I think I have more volume liberties than you though at night, if I had to go tv volumes I would be boosting. I will mess with it tonight.
