I dig it bro I'd probably order another pickguard so I could use just a volume knob and place it where I like it. One thing I hate about strats is the volume knob placement

Be nice to have a beater guitar that looks, sounds and plays good. Fun times with the little guy doing projects like that as well

I agree with Mike 100%, if it aint broken in it just does not feel as good. My most dirty charvel of the three plays the best, broken in and board edges getting rounded.

I had my Summers tele sprayed with the lightest coat of nitro the guy can do so it wears fast, still have to put the wool to the neck.

Also, don't forget to attach the rear tone control to the bridge pickup. Roll it back to about 7 for thick humbucker tones. It works GREAT with the Heavy Blues.
