Here's a newbie i built from scratch using quality parts.

The neck is a rare 1997 Fender USA Hendrix "Voodoo" model that is solid maple cap ( no skunk stripe)..circa 68'
The Body is Fender USA 'John Mayer" super light alder
Pickguard from a Fender USA 62' Reissue
PU's are HS-3 Bridge, VV Area 54' Middle, HS-3 Neck

I'm considering going to Stainless Steel XLARGE fretwire, which i played and could not believe how smooth the bending and tracking was. we'll see..

Very nice, killer score on the Jimi neck as those do not come up very often.

I need to replace the trem on my YJM clone, the MIM body is cutting it but the trem is not.

Are u using the trem assembly that came with it? yeah i would replace it with a steel block, problem is with the MIM bodies, is that the USA vintage reissue trems don't line up to the 6 holes and you have to go the Calaham route. That's a big key to the guitar resonating nicely and the right amount of tension. good luck!

And if you absolutely LOVE the SS frets? What then? How many of your former favorite guitars are going to need new frets? Cha-CHING!

Very nice looking guitar, Ant! I love reverse headstock strats!

Man Don't even get me started on that thought, because it's already fucking with my head especially the fact that I would never need to replace or dress frets again, which two of my favorite axes are due for! have you played SS? i was/am blown away. You are a wide vibrato type bender and if you were to play them dude you'd be lifting off into space. and you'd have a new name Kurt Rocket ..

Both of my Suhrs had them and you aren't kidding, they felt amazing. If my Suhr's had been alder bodies I'd probably still be playing them. I did actually put some slight fret wear into them in a year though.

I have a thin skin nitro painted All Parts strat body that I am going to put a big headstock Warmoth neck on that. Throw in Duncan SSL-1's and a callaham bridge and

Thanks for the heads up, the yngwie pickguard holes also did not all line up and had to drill some new ones. Thanks!

nice man! I got a guitar coming with stainless steel frets - I've never played one with them, but I sure hope it doesn't make me want to change all my guitars - that would be expensive  !!!!! Maybe I'm better off telling my luthier to just keep it

Big headstock,
Reverse big headstock,

Great looking guitar

Very nice   I'm afraid to play the SS frets, its better if I dont know

thats a great looking strat, congrats. I love the large Fender headstocks, looks cool reversed too. Mutts rule because you can piece together whatever you want to your exact specs.

and yeah...stainless steel frets feel great...kinda like the fresh fret polish feel everyday :) pluse they take dont wear down
