Pardon the lack of quality, I just figured out how to use Cakewalk today at the very lowest level. Plus, I'm just using my Boss Katana that I did a modded Marshall patch on. Now, if only I knew how to add drum tracks and could actually program drums, that'd be even better lol

I'm going to see if this link works, if not, someone tell me how to get the Soundcloud link to work.

Works great, riff is great! Clayman era in flames vibes

Thanks bruh. I haven't actually worked on riff writing in YEARS, like seriously 20 years. You guys have been slowly inspiring me for a couple years to dip my toes in the water.

It needs a little work on the tone side of things, but the riff is great and it posted to RT and everything works! So i'm calling that a win

I'm stoked to hear more ideas from you man - the riff itself has good bones, and especially if you combine it with a cool drum beat you could do tons with it

If I knew how to adjust eq frequencies and stuff in Cakewalk I'd tweak stuff, but that stuff is sooooo far above my paygrade :ROFLMAO:

No worries, just keep in mind that to sit in a mix with drums and bass, you're going to have to cut a little bit of the bass/low end off of your tone

Whether that is cutting it off on the amp, or doing it in post with cakewalk, it's gotta be done somewhere when you're assembling all those sounds together

no big deal though when it's just the guitar recorded though :rawk:

Awesome! ❤️
We have a new contender!
Now you just have to pick out a b rated wresting persona and call someone out!

Have fun with it, just like messing around with a new instrument.
