Thanks guys. I'm having fun. Should be finished in a couple weeks.

What tuners are you going with? Can't say enough about the Gotoh vintage lockers I have as my yngwie is very solid tuning wise.
The Barncaster is going to be incredible, that is mojo you cannot buy at the fender CS chop shop![]()

Thanks Scott. Gotoh klusons (non-locking) and a Wilkinson top-load 3-saddle bridge for this one - both are ordered and should hopefully arrive next week. Once funds allow I may upgrade to Glendale bridges. I also really like the staggered locking klusons, but I wanted this one to have a string tree so the stagger was unnecessary. And I find Klusons so easy to string that I don't mind when they're not locking.
I still need to order the rest of the hardware and make a decision whether to buy or build the pickup. And there will probably be some experimentation to put some 'age' on the tru-oiled neck to better match the body.
The barncaster still needs more patching/filling before the routing can continue. How it looks after it's filled and routed will determine what kind of finish it gets. Probably the same kind of one-piece maple neck though.
