The interesting thing about that article is it still comes back to fossil fuel being the problem. The batteries being manufactured in countries that rely on coal to power the factories. It's not the batteries themselves.

What can the US do? Well look no further than Tesla's Gigafactories Which use 100% renewable power

I spent 10 days in my Freightliner at my companies yard snug as a bug. Filled up my fuel tank and added anti-gell,then watched lots of dvds, listened to Sirius, read lots of books and ate lots of hot soup, hot dogs and made nachos...heating them all in my little truck stove. Everyone I know local in DFW lost power at some point, including Juggernaut Mike,Dwisted Dave and Bloodrock Chris from this forum. But knowing all my ex-girlfriends and my ex-wife lost power didn't seem to bother me at all.

On Saturday I couldn't find milk for shit,so I followed a Bordens milk truck into the back of a Kroger and went inside and waited for them to unload the truck. Seriously. Re-stocked my truck with soup and crackers and started running again Saturday night.

By the way, those 10 days were the longest I ever stayed off the road in the past 9 years. And it was fucking glorious!!

Your sun room caught fire?! Fuck the sun! First we figure out that tanning is bad for our skin. Now your room(made specifically for enjoying the sun)catches fire? Scientist are telling us that eventually the sun will go supernova and destroy our entire solar system!! We must start preparing for a war against the sun now!! Pre-emptive stike!! "Won't someone please think of the children?!" (Helen Lovejoy quote)

We had power go out for 30 hours, came back on for 2, then off again for 4.

Pool froze, all the pipes, valves, and pumps busted.

3 busted water pipes in the guest house.

On the up side a turkey fryer, and two propane tanks kept us from freezing to death :ROFLMAO:
California is sending out crews to restore power in Texas.
It is delaying the California High Speed Rail project that I am working on .

You guys should have voted out Abbott .... seems like Texas got what they voted for .
