NAD – BOGNER XTC 2001!

So I was lucky enough to have two NAD in the same week and two of the most well after amps in the market (to me)
I had the twin jet for a couple of month but didn’t bond with it so much as I would imagine. I've put it out for sale and for no good reason it stayed… I guess the war in Israel didn’t help the privet economic. So I was loaning it to a good friend of mine to try it out for a while. I figured that someone will enjoy it while it hanging.
After a day or so he called me and tell me that a good friend and awesome guitar player was asking if I would trade it for a XTC, he wanted a change after 10 years he have it… of course I will need to add some cash to the deal – I was YA!!! Lets to it.
The XTC and bogner as a company are well known even here but we almost don’t know any of their amps, there is no dealer for them in Israel so everything we know is from the web… after two days we made the swap and I am excited to the roof!
This amp is all I can imagine it will be and more!!!

I will be happy to get some tricks/tips and other inside and insight about the 101B
From whom ever that know this amp for real!

I have a 101b that I've had for almost 20 years, and a rev 2 blue that I've had for about 8 months I like em both but the Ecstacy is my fav by far !!
I actually need to go get my Ecstacy from the shop just had new tubes put in it .

Sweet congrats! Love my XTC 20th. 101b is a most killer amp when dialed in right. Don't be afraid to get the presence up to like 3 oclock to open up the top end. There is a lot of different tones in there, have fun experimenting.

ya, experimenting is the key word for the 101B :-)
i was just in session with him and every change i made sounded awesome for itself.
thanks a lot!

Another tip that works for me, I tie the left presence knob to the clean and blue channel where you typically want more open top end, then use presence 2 just for red channel where I can tune in the top end of the red. This helps overcome some of the limitations of shared eq between the blue and red channels. I also don't play that loud so I run the excursion in the middle position as I find it gives the widest low mids which I like. The pre-EQ's do a lot so play with those.

i still need to learn about its options.
the clean is awesome, don't know why ppl say meh about it, i find it very punchy and bell like sounding.
the blue is like no channel i ever heard of, this is the best sound i heard IMO.
how do you set each presence for any channel?

Switchable little slider switch on left side upper panel selects presence for red only. It's called presence B select.
