NAD '77 JMP

The T3904 was definitely on my radar. Pin 1 to 6 on the primary from what I found. Should respond really well to what I have planned.

There was a guy who made a post on some forum years ago with the pinouts for that PT.

I may want to run 6550s or a pair of KT88s. What do u think?

According to 4T6&2 the modern 6550 offerings are only rated to 450DCV on the screen voltages. If you already have a stable of EL34 amps 6550s or KT88 are a nice departure IMHO. And in the end if you don't luv them you can always swap back to EL34's if so desired.

When I tried out a few KT88's, the JJ had a very compressed low end that I didn't care for, the old Sovtek and EHKT88's were both good solid modern tubes although I hear the TungSol KT88 is nice as well for modern tubes.

Congrats Ted!

Another interesting example of the differences between the US/England amps, and those that were sold in either Canuckistan or Norther Eu. They all seem to have earlier features (transformers, on/off switches, head shell) that lasted later than the US/British market.
I had a 1982 2104 combo....Canadian...that was a JMP essentially. 2 years after everyone else got JCM 800s.

Exactly and I paid far less for it. If it was an earlier pcb I would pass over the thin/weak traces but by '77 they had it down. I expect it to keep up with my '71 with ease when we're done with it.
