VH140C Picked this up from tonesfoyobones (super awesome guy to deal with btw!) Mint condition!

This thing is heavy for a SS amp. Like close to 50 lbs I think. It's also a metal machine! I had a great tone in minutes. Great feel for SS and loud as fuck. The clean is decent, I just wish the chorus was more lush like a Boss Ce-2 or some of the boutique offerings out there for chorus. I could totally gig this amp and not think twice about it. Between this purchase and the Katana it makes me think I can be happy with a $350 amp or a $5000 amp.

I'll make a clip just because.

Sweet. I played ss Randall's for years before going back to tubes and had a couple vh140's as well(one was an ss150), but was happy for years with them and don't play any better without them.

Brutal amp. Best solid state I've played and sounds killer.

I almost pulled the trigger on this amp the day it hit the classifieds. Snooze you lose I guess; at least I'll get to give it a go here shortly :D

Solid State blasphemy is what this is, Thomas! You should be ashamed of yourself. :banhim:

Doood! I had that amp from the mid 90's til about 2003 then one day it just burst into flames... metal as fuck for a solid state amp, I truly loved that amp.. score, but keep a fire extinguisher close by, for realz ;)

Holy crap! Thanks for the heads up brother! Was this a common occurrence? Hadn't heard they were prone to the flamage.

I've never heard of that either. I'd say it's the exception, not the rule.

Congrats on the new amp. I had one years ago and never should have sold it. A decade ago they were considered trash. Glad to see them come back around

Honestly I have no idea.. but the amp did go thru a shit ton of heavy use/gigs for years with no probs... Ironically it caught fire when playing at home just messing around. Ah the heavy scooped solid state days
