Congrats. I like the JVM, but wouldn't take any Marshall over my Mark V.

I tend to consider myself a Marshall man. Always had one. My boys middle name is Marshall.

However...............looking back over my 30+ years of playing guitar, I used a Boogie many more years than I ever did my Marshalls.

I think I may have to start considering myself a Mesa Boogie guy. It's something I'll need to come to terms with. ;)

Came home the same time as the wife, it had it's cover on and I didn't even mention it as we walked in together. She looked at it but because I didn't act like anything was new (she may have thought it was one of my other amps). IShe didn't say anything. She asked me what I did today and I just said "Nothing really" Totally pokerfaced her

She asked you what you did today because she saw you carrying something in with a cover on it, there might be a delayed doghouse consequence.

j/k, congrats.

It's OK, I got the Dog House for 12 Months, no interest and have almost paid it off...

My jvm is meh at home volumes. Couldn't be happier when cranked up

Nice set-up. I'd like to find another Deuce II to go with my Mark V. I had one a few years ago but I just didn't get that amp back then. I totally get it now and like the sound. But for now the Mark V covers it all for me and makes my pants tight in the crotch everytime I plug into it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Mark covers the Stiletto territory well enough where I may not need it anymore but I do want to hear how it sounds running the Stiletto pre into the 5 return on the 10 watt setting etc. But if I keep the Stiletto I'll definitely leave the 5 a 6L6 amp and not put in 34's. Kind of want to embrace it for what it is and not try and "Marshallize" it.

Please with the JVM bashing. I sold the original JVM and got the Satriani JVM currently AND a Mesa MK V. Totally different amps. Both great. That Satch JVM showed my YJM100 the door. It's that good IMO. So is the MK V. Neither can cover the other's tones IMO

I'm not bashing the JVM, It's just not my thing but I only tried the Satch model once for not a lot of time. But the DSLH I will bash, didn't like anything about it.

You always seem to land back in the Boogie camp though. Seems like they just seem to work for you given all the stuff you've gone through and played. I played a Mark III for 12 years (don't ask me what stripe because I didn't know they existed when I owned it). Got a JCM 800 and the only reason I ever regret selling it was because I loved the clean channel on it. I loved the lead channel too but I like the Marshall better for my style.
