Ok, So I got this on Tuesday but didn't have the opportunity to fire it up until Thursday night and Friday night. :aww:

I'll start with the order experience, Dave Woodhouse is a stand up guy who responds to e-mails timely and takes the time to anwer any questions you might have. I've order two amps from him and every thing he told me from build times and ship dates were right on the money! The amps ship very well packed.

Let me just say that I've owned more amps over the years than I care to think about :D I purchased the K88 from Dave year before last and it is a truely amazing amp for sure. I ordered the B60 in an attempt to get a really pissed off british voiced amp trying to avoiding diods in the circuit like most Marshalls and their associated mods, keeping a 100% true tube signal path.

So far this is the best amp I've ever owned    it has so much warmth, articulation and just aggressive pissed offness with rich harmonic over tones and growl I can't believe it. The amp has all of the goodies and is a two (really three) channel amp. The amp has, dual gain (crunch and High gain), Mod/Vin voicings, bright switches for both gains, Boost, a phanominal british voiced clean channel. Let me just say the Dave's clean channels are the most usable cleans I have ever experienced . The amp has a SS effects loop with send and return trim controls for fine tuning. And finally the power amp controls, Presence, Thrust and a Norm/tight toggle. Another observation is this is the quietest high gain amp I've ever played thru, it has a little more noise than the K88 but agian after using many other modded high gain amps in a studio environment I still can't believe how whisper quiet Dave builds are  Oh, and the amp has a very rugged and well laid out foot pedal that controls channel switching, Boost and gain channel selections.

I will get clips up hopefully this week end work permitting, I bought a Zoom Q3 last year and haven't really had the time to do any good clips. I'll also get some clips up of the K88 as well.

What's the difference between the K88 and B60, the Baron amps have really peaked my interest.

The K88 is a more modern "American" circuit desgin and use KT88 power tubes. I have studio's and the K88 delivers the newer metal stuff really well infact it has replaced 2 other similar voiced "name brand" amps as the local favorite.

The B60 is a "British" circuit desgin and uses EL34 power tubes. Personally I'm more of the modded Marshall kinda person and the B60 seems to be "at least from my prespective" every thing I've been looking for but never was able to find.

Congrats man! I really have been thinking about pulling the trigger on a B60/100 with the dual master/gains for the gain channel(s). CLips Now man!!!!!!!!!

I'll put in a good word for Dave also...he responded to my questions about my Snott Watt very quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to own another Baron. My wife however....well...I'm happy with my Snott Watt for now ! ha

Oh man, you've got me all worked up now. I have a B60 on order but in the meantime acquired a used K88 which kicks serious ass. I love it so much and have been wondering if the B60 can possibly make me as happy or even more so. Sounds like it's possible! :)

Oh, and your amp looks awesome! Did you have any unique customizations done to it? Looking for ideas before my B60 gets built.....

Well, yes I had a different clean channel. My K88 is very Fenderish but better, the B60 Dave did a British clean channel and it's the best I've heard in 30+ years    Vary warm but spanky at the same time.

Congrats. Most of the Baron clips I've heard were VERY good!!

Sounds like a Killer amp Mark.....
going to bring it up next month to the amp fest? :D
Looking at a Saturday in Late May. Will post the date when I get it secured on a leave slip at work.

Depending on that Date I may be sending you or Nate my snott watt for your amp fest thingy Dan

Yes, the B series are tops on my list for the next amp buy. I have been wanting a really good take on a Marshall. I like Splawns but there is something I can;t put my finger on about them that I don't like. I am hoping the Baron does it for me. I was thinking of going with the 120 watt head because I always find 100 watt heads to have an extra mojo I don;t hear in 50 watt heads. Maybe that won't hold true with the Baron amps. With Mesas, VHTs, Bogners, etc I always prefer the 100 watters.

Id' be curious how the 60 watter stacks up next to the B120. I tend to find the more wattage, the bigger and fuller the tone.

Any comparison to a Splawn???

IMO they have some similarities to Splawn both my 60 watters have sounded great

Hell yeah....that would be awesome.
Looking for the last part of May.

Still working on clips, had to travel for work all last week and didn't have the time. I get them up as soon as I can.

Yes I'll bring both the K88 and B60 Dan, I will be out of town May 28th thru June 5th though. PM me when you get the details worked out and let me know what I can contribute to as well

I was all about getting a Splwan till I started listening closely to Baron clips and they are like the ultimate Marshalls. If they are built well, then why is this guy not getting the recognition of guys like Friedman, Scott Splawn, Cameron, etc??????
