NOT DISAPPOINT.
Band practice starts in a couple minutes so I'll make it short and sweet and post vids when I have the time.
First no Bugera proofage:
I'll be honest, when I first turned it on I was VERY disappoint.
Long story short this amps needs presence and some volume or its dullsville.
Build quality seems pretty good, it is HEAVY. (100lbs is whats on the ship weight but I don't think the package nor the actual amp is that high)
Clean Channel - Definitely better. Took a bit of tweaking to get a couple tones I liked. Still not great but not bad, usable for sure.
Crunch (OD1)- I don't like the low/mid gain mode. Honestly I don't think light crunch is something this amp is good at, but then again that sort of tone isn't my bag. I definitely dig it with the higher gain voice though.
Hi-gain (OD2)- My favorite is the higher gain voice with the gain turned down a bit. Just sounds fuller and has more sustain than the lower gain voice with the gain turned up with ultimately the same gain.
Reverb - Not bad on the clean channel. Not good though really IMO. Its digital and you can really tell if you use too much of it. Which cranked could be a cool effect in itself.
Resonance knob is a fucking waste. It might as well be labeled the mud knob. I could maybe see it being useful with a Strat or Tele I suppose but definitely not useful for me.
Regardless it seems like its what I was looking for, we'll see after tonights band practice.
