Just received this one last week and looks like it's a keeper. A truly versatile and all around awesome sounding amp. Clean is to die for and the OD sounds just killer. After I tweaked the internal gain pot..the gain channel now has so much sustain that it almost plays itself. Sounds great with both the scumbacks and the EVH greenbacks. So many tonal options with the EQ, feedback(which can change the entire amp voicing), whomp, and internal gain trim pot. Using the send for the pre-amp out for my W/D setup and it works perfectly. Really happy with it so far. With my W/D it's total Neal Schon tone!

I contacted both Don Bonomini @Suhr customer service and Pete Thorn with a few questions about the amp...they were both very kind and of great help.

Two killer amps. Depends on the pIayer and the type of tone that you are after. The BE is one of the best Marshall based amps ever IMHO. The feel is there and the BE's EQ, SAT & C45 are all really functional and will allow you to get all types of hot-rodded marshall tones. The PT is equally good in it's own right. I find the PT a bit more modern(in a very good way) to my ears. Someone on the board said that the PT reminded them of a perfectly produced Bob Rock record and I certainly can hear that. The feedback knob on the PT gives you the option of going from old school to very modern and tight. Totally changes the feel and tone of the amp. Again, two great amps..i'm really digging each one of them! :D

Ok, stuck on a desert island, which one would you pick? :D

Glad you like it man! I couldn’t be happier with the Wizard too. Love it when a deal works out.

I've always loved the tone of the PT. Kick ass amp for sure

And I'm really happy that you dig the Wizard. That's a very special amp for sure. Let's try to keep it in the rig-talk family. ;)

The PT is one of the few amps I really interested in spending some time with. The BE is another. And you have both. Nice score!
