I totally get it. When you find something that you love beyond all others, getting one of every variant is the coolest thing ever. That's why I have the whole DAR line.

In the 80s I did the same thing with coked-up strippers. Believe it or not,it was probably cheaper than collecting CCV heads. And like amps, every stripper felt and sounded different. Some were modded, some were loose and saggy, some were tight as hell, and others had the worst feedback you can imagine. I am pretty sure I might have even had a Chinese knockoff(if you know what I'm saying).

Well, that settles it. You and Rockinchippy are BOTH my heros! lol. Damn, I'd love to have a chance to try a CCV.
  Right??

I've had a couple that passed through your hands, they are some of the best. Glad I kept one.

Yessir. :D

Without a doubt, every amp Mark did for me (and that was a big number) was awesome.

That one wasn't built for me, but I think I facilitated. :D

Back when I had 3 CCVs. Middle one was the OG NAMM show proto.

Probably had 4 other mod's at that point, as well.

What a great sounding amp and great playing as well!

Thanks for the early morning laugh!

It would have been nice to see the CCM go into production. Always loved that NAMM vid and the chrome chassis was tits.

I remember that one, Josh. It sounded killer.

If I remember correctly the other two in the pic were "Black Board PCBs" and I did some soldering work on those when I was helping Mark with these amps. I'm pretty sure those are currently the only two black board PCB CCVs out. I think there maybe a third one but Mark would know better than me.

Black Board PCBs were pretty much "pre-pro" spec PCBs. I know the Brad era were TM revision or something with green PCBs.

anyone know why mark isn't making them anymore? It seems he would sell a tone of them.

Damn dude!!!! The OG NAMM show CCV is the best sounding CCV I have ever heard. I miss my CCV. I sold mine for cheap, made a deal with the buyer that if he ever sells it, he has to offer it to me for what I gave it to him for. Hopefully he decides to sell it sooner or later.

Yeah I know what your doing chippy, Remember the original CRATE AMP'S!! the hidden jewels, some say there just urban legends, the tone monster's that actually looked like old wooden crates!!! That's right bitches!! I got 6 of them jewels locked away.. And they ain't for sale!!

This might be the most acceptable form of hoarding I've ever seen. Congrats!

You do realize what you are hearing in that video is an Axe-Fx (Standard or Ultra, not a 2) through a VHT 2/50/2 power amp, not one of the Camerons, right?

Yea it actually has 6 different CCV models, I was going to post a pic of my Ax8 with all six models, but I didn't want to look like a show off.

No, that's the Axe-Fx's SLO model. That clip is 6 years old. I remember back when jcj first posted it on here and how great I thought it sounded. It's still one of my favorite Axe-Fx clips. Like I said, that was either an Axe-Fx Standard or Ultra & I don't believe they had any Cameron amp models in them (I'm a former Standard owner). The Axe-Fx 2 does however have several CCV & Atomica models.

jcj did seem to imply that that video was of one of his CCVs, but I think he just posted it because you could see the 3 of them in it.

I see. And yes, I checked back, the Axe&Ultra don't have any Cameron models. But that clips sounds wicked nevertheless.

Absolutely correct, and I apologize for any confusion.

I tried to take a screen shot of the video, but my storage was full, so I just posted the link.

That was an AxeFx Standard, running the SLO model.
