CLIP ADDED, SCROLL DOWN.

Just came in today.

I've only fooled around with it for about 15 minutes, as I have to get to work. But initial impressions are not good. They're fucking fantastic. :D Sounds like a Marshall, that's for sure. One that's been tweaked and screams. It will compliment my Diezel VH4 perfectly. Has tons of mids, very little compression and tight low-end. The three switches (era and two brights) plus the push/pull gain pots and master makes thing very versatile. In fact, there are at least 27 or so DIFFERENT combinations to be had just with the three toggle switches alone. It's actually a bit confusing.

But so far I can get it to go from early plexi to late JMP to MV JMP to hot rodded territory and beyond.

It definitely sounds better than the clips up on Ceriatone's website. But, then again, I took the tube covers off. So that's probably why.

I'll get some gut shot pics later tonight. And hopefully a clip or two within the week or so. I bought it from Londaxe and transaction went very well. Shipping was fast and it was packaged safely. Recommended seller. :)

What does the ERA switch do? (Edit- I'm assuming this build has the diodes on the MV? Maybe it switches them out?)

You have the amp on top of the cab AND another amp too so I'm sure that helped too! ;) The Diezel probably had some kind of osmosis thing going on where the mojo transferred to the Ceriatone.

What is that red wire on you Custom?

It sure as hell looks the job. What kind of camera/lense are you using?

Not sure what it does, circuit-wise. But it basically goes from 60's Plexi to 70's/80's JMP to Modern metal with the gain/feel/compression. When I pop the chassis out and have a look I'll let you know.

My '79 has no string-ground. Haven't gotten around to drilling/routing a hole for one. So I have that wire connecting the bridge to the output jack to keep the guitar quiet. It's a pain in the ass. But it gets rid of any hum.

Camera is a Nikon D700.

Here we go with another Miller capacitance thread...

The two off us will never be friends. Only Canon's are real ;)

I thought it might be something like that. You should definitively get it drilled. It would look so much better.

Bro, listen up. It's totally true. Your amp will sound different depending on what other amp it's sitting on. I A/B'd it just now with a spreadsheet in MS Excel. Put it on the Diezel and it sounds compressed and won't cut through the mix with my band that I have yet to play it with. Put it on my Metro Super Lead and it just shuts off. Because when it comes to Marshall clones, everyone knows Metro > Ceriatone.

Oh, and Nik stole from Mark.

lol I like Canons, too. Wish Nikon would get off their asses and make a 20+ Meg full-frame for me to use, like the 5D Mark II.

And yeah, I'll get it drilled at some point.

Um, wouldn't it sound more compressed if the Diezel was sitting on top? (ba-dup-pahhh!!!!)

50 or 100 on the chip? Can you play Ride the Lightning type stuff on one or is it just a cock rock machine?

50 watter. I don't know about the Rid the Lightning stuff. I don't play Metallica (that is Metallica, right?). But it can do all sorts of shit from classic rock to 80's metal to modern rock and metal. But I still need more time with it to wrap my head around it.

I just sort of threw the EQ and switches in random places. Not sure what I'm doing just yet.

Playing around with more, it's hard to get an actual "clean" sound out of it. But I can get it to sound like a slightly more pissed off version of my Super Lead (1959 NMV circuit). So, that's cool! :)

Brutal tonez going on there...Flip those amps around and it'll sound more compressed, I ain't fooling ya.
Seriously though, it sounds great bro...

Thanks! :)

lol I think the Diezel would crush it if I put it on top...
