Whatttssssuppppp!!!

Hey everyone just got in my new DAR Forza and holy shit this thing kicks ass... it is by far the most sensitive amp I've ever played in regards to what you put infront of it, and what goes in is what comes out... it's quite honestly unreal. You can REALLY hear a HUGE difference between guitars, strings age, everything it makes a massive difference!!!!

The clean channel is just unreal, best clean in any amp I've heard, let alone a multi channel amp.

The crunch channel is really nice, great warm break up clear and articulate and very very crunch.

I honestly can't decide whether I like the Rhythm or lead channel better... they are both awesome. I can't say enough about how badass this amp is, and I'm just starting to tweak it and break it in.

I'll add more as the week follows!

VIDEO Added! Thats right you go mac book microphone!

Congrats and HNAD man!

Looks cool. Are those the tubes mounted horizontally in the front of the amp? That's unique. I've never heard of DAR before so I'll add that to the "research to do while 'working'" pile. :D

Tape? You still use a 4-track?

How's the Dar compare to the Einstein?

Haha yes they are mounted horizontally they are put that way so that the electrical fields I believe (theres a vid where Mike the owner talks about it) run in different directions so you get less noise and interference to the pre amp tubes, that way a quieter amp and yes this amp is actually more quiet than my Diezel by a pretty substantial amount, you can't even tell its on when your guitar volume is down.

They are also 6c33b tubes they are about the size of a hand grenade, and the amp is class A as well!

How's the Dar compare to the Einstein?

It compares very favorably for the DAR, of course when comparing to amps they are all going to sound different, but this one by far has more features than the Einstein, I'd say it's more on par with a Herbert, but with more options, individual settings for each channels loop to be parallel, serial or off, it's got full midi, 4 channels, it's quite a bit tighter than the Einstein and more sensitive to what you put up front.

The clean channel absolutely murders the Einstein and quite honestly anything else I've ever played, how often do you get to play 100 watt class A amp in CLEAN mode... it's pretty nuts!

I like the crunch better than the Einstein as well.

The rhythm and lead channels are just voiced quite differently so it's hard to compare, but I can tell you this amp is more articulate and SIGNIFICANTLY more impacted by what goes up front. I feel the Einstein has more of a vintage crossed with a Diezel tone, and the Forza is more American sounding, I know that sounds silly but a Diezel does sound German to me and Mesas/Fenders sound American (as well as DAR of course) and the Marshalls sound British. Not to say the DAR sounds like a Mesa but it does have certain characteristics that are similar in the lower mid growl of the channels, but it also retains the high end fluidity and sustain of more british voiced amps. It's really got its own thing going on, and gain for days and days and days.

The Einstein is a spectacular amp, please don't get me wrong, these are both just different beasts, both are great amps, I love Diezels but this DAR really gives me a totally unique sound that no one else out there has right now.

Thanks for all the HNAD from people too!

Saw that at NAMM 10 and was pleasantly surprised. Is this the model with the eight million different types of connections on the back?

Thanks dude!!! Hell yea it's killin man!

That looks cool, but I thought that tubes shouldnt be operated horizontally. This is why rack power amps are typically very tall.

Here's a pic of the tube size comparison

DAR Power tube 6c33b , 6550, EL34, 12ax7

just wanted to give you all a size comparison!
