the string age? really? :hys:

You laugh man, but I plugged in my paul which has old strings on it, and it sounded like total ass... its THAT sensitive it's really crazy, and I'm not just saying that, whatever you put in you will get out its THAT drastic!
I had amps that were like that. SO damn super sensitive that you swear you can hear your heart beating and taking breaths thru the amp!

Looks cool. Would love to hear a video/clip of it. Does it do metal? Or is it a "rock" amp?

Yea thats very much how this one feels to me... and it's not even really on I've barely got the volume up in my APT.

Video is processing as we speak I'll link in just a minute - the amp was actually designed for Metal believe it or not, that was what the guy engineered it for, it's got far more gain and power than I will ever use, but it works fantastic for rock as well. It's incredibly tight and percussive my video on a mac book mic doesn't do it justice at all, plus in my apartment I can barely turn it with out rattling the buildings foundation.

That ENGL FIREBALL 100 was like that. So damn sensitive. If I rubbed the guitar across my buckle....it was picked up. Insane how articulate that amp is.
Does your amp have a "compressed" feel to it?

No I wouldn't say so, it's more than say something like my heritage at bedroom volumes, but I think that has to do with the fact that the way it's designed the power tubes are always running at 50% so you always have that natural I would guess, mike can correct me if Im wrong, tube compression that you don't get from a normal class A/B amp where you've got to crank it to get the power tubes juicing.

I told Mike that it feels to me like a Mesa in feel to a degree, but with a much faster response time and more articulation.

I am really digging the really articulate amps these days. When you hit the notes and chords and its ON.....you REALLY can tell!

But the fuck ups? YOU REALLY CAN TELL!!

Right on man, yea it doesn't do the amp justice but it's a general idea!

I never heard one of these. Should be cool!
I remember you telling me a few months back about it.....
So .....is this "THE ONE" for you?
Or too early to tell? ;)

Man those tubes are huge, can you find them easily and what do they cost?

Cleans were damn nice sounding.

Def the one for me man, I've tried a TON and I mean a TON of amps, and this one does it all with a unique American sound, plus the company is great Mike and Paul are two of the best and most helpful guys I've dealt with in the industry. The amp doesn't sound like anything else out there, it's got similarities between many amps but all mixed together, it'll have the fluidity of one and growl of another with the feel and clarity of two others, along with having a bite and distortion sound all to its own. Who else has a 100 watt class A amp you know?

Honestly one of the biggest things for me is the reliability factor of the tubes. I get random stupid shit happening to my power tubes all the time you know... and finally someone came out with a beefed up power tube amp that really hold up, in an amp that is. These made it from North Cali, to South Miami, and fired right up with no issues, and they weren't packed any special way just like they are in the picture in the amp. I figured you know, if it can stand up to 7gs it can stand up to what I'm going to do with it. This is the biggest baddest amp out there, hands down the thing is I kid you not built like a tank, it weighs in at 80lbs and nearly every part on it is metal, knobs, carling switches, even the mini toggles in the back are really high quality. The trannys are hand wound by DAR and I haven't opened it up to look, but he said they are huge, to handle to the power of the bigger tubes.

IMHO it's the way stuff in America should be made, bigger and stronger with out cutting corners.

Thanks for the vid. I would love to try one.

Hey yngzaklynch, your welcome! I'll have more HQ ones up in the next week or so with actual microphones haha... Where are you located, Mike travels around all the time and I'll be demoing the amps at the New York amp show in June if your in that area, we'll have the Tuzzia and the Forza there for people to check out!

Hey Digi,

Thanks I appreciate it, they come across best over the mac mic, the over drive and high gain stuff I'm going to have to figure out a better place to record where I can really let this thing loose you know?

They aren't hard to come by, they having actually been being used in HiFi tube amps for about the last 10 years apparently, you can get them from

http://thetubestore.com/russian6c33b.html

They seem over priced there

you can get them here for $20 cheaper a pop http://www.upscaleaudio.com/Russian-6C33_p_513.html $40 each. There should be no problem finding them, they have quite a few different vendors and are readily available!

Dan thanks man I really appreciate it! I know how you feel, at least you probably have a rock scene haha... Miami isn't exactly know for it's rock and metal scene... er except that new cruise liner shipping out of here to mexico with metal bands hahaha.

I've not yet lived anywhere that had something near by which carried this kind of stuff, supposedly some Guitar Centers in Tampa carried a few deizel products possibly, but it's hard to tell, and you don't really get to test stuff that way it's kind of frustrating.
