Dick.
Just depends on what you want. Diezels are about as far from one trick pony as it gets, and people drop $2K or better on old modded marshalls, Uberschalls, early 2ch rectos, etc all the time. With Diezel, you get a lot more from an amp, all the loop options, midi controlled, a mute function ( don't laugh at that one, pretty handy once you have it), and the way they are built is not matched by many, especially ENGL. :D

I know a dude with a Herbert half stack and he runs a BBE Sonic Maximizer into it. As you'd expect, it sounds like shit.

Does the amp has independent effects loops for each channel?

I use the switchable loop and assign it to the channels that I want to have the effect run to. So essentially. Yes.

Oh man...I remember years ago, like 1992...we had one of those in our PA rack. Worthless. We gave it to the first person to buy us a pitcher of beer one night....

I already got offered a 6 pack. I counter offered for a 12 pack. Let's see what happens :D !!!!!!! I forgot to mention the beer was Milwaukee's Best. Now....for those that do not know what MB is, here is how they make it. The good beer that overflows from the vats that runs on to the floor is squeegeed into a drain. From the drain it goes into processing, cased and sent to distribution. !

Here is what I can tell you so far. Having owned the VH4 and now a Herbert. I would have to say that the 4 is a very dry sound and a damn good one. The Herbert has (the best way to describe it) squish. On the Herbert I am SUPER impressed with the headroom. Just has so much more on top that I feel it is very manageable. And the loops.....Wow. Just transparent. Although the 4 has more features, I think the Herbert has more useable ones. Just my .02.
Headroom. Well, considering it can run at 180W, I think headroom would be just slightly abundant

Glad you're digging it

-I agree,..DIEZEL's have every option ever invented,.. german engineering at it's best,..-(and that term is now a noun)-,..

-not any issue's with the FIREBALL,...one trick pony and all,...

-congrats to the TS,.. like I said,.the HERBERT is an awesome amp,...hope ya enjoy it for many years to come,....
