Hey guys, had a good trade with my buddy Justin on here, and picked up this minty Fokker. So far I'm having a lot of fun with it. Kind of reminds me of the VH4 ch3, but it's a lot more aggressive than I remember any of the VH4 I've owned or played. Very open raw tone, but still has a great fluid lead. Clean channel is excellent, and you can boost it to get just about any rock sounds you want. The gain channel is crazy. Tons of gain, and you can dial it big and tight. It almost has a Marshall quality about the mids, very forward and up front. Bare bones, but 2 great usable channels, and 2 footswitchable masters. It's another amp that can feel almost boosted with the gain up.

It's got a quiet noise floor straight in, even with the gain cranked. Boosting it is touchy though with the crazy amount of gain it has, you can easily go overboard quickly and it will scream like a pig. here are the obligatory pic and a couple short clips.

For the Dmoll vs Fokker comparison, these amps are pretty far apart IMO. The Dmoll is feature packed, with 3 very usable channels. Refined, big, and fun to play. You can hear and feel the herbert lineage IMO. The Fokker is more raw and open sounding, closer to the VH4 but more it's own thing as I play it more. Almost if Peter decided to make a hot rodded Marshall with crazy Diezel flavor. Very fun amp too. I prefer boosting the Dmoll, but I could play the Fokker either way and be happy.

Sounds cool. I'm hearing a lot of Herbert in that tone.

Congrats and sounds great Eric! :)

Looks like an Orange snuck in there as well.

You know Erick, you are not making my decision any easier!!!

Thanks guys. It's funny, the more I play it, the more it feels like it's own thing. Aggressive like the Herbert ch2+, but more mid focused raw. Fluid like a vh4, but less compressed and more aggressive. I don't think it's as refined sounding or versatile as either, but it's a fun amp for sure.

And yeah Tom, that is an OR100, but I've had it for a while. It's a wicked fun amp too though. Guess I should have done a NAD for it, lol, but I did post a clip in the orange section.

Rick, I aim to please brother

Sounds great brother! You are a great player.
Thanks man, appreciate that. I wish I was close to the player you are, lol

Dude, those clips sound awesome. The unboosted clip sounds killer. Boosted clip sounds killer too, but I prefer unboosted. Best Diezel clip I have heard.

Grats and thanks for sharing the clips, brutal, in a good way :D

As usual...Sounds GREAT man! BTW...If you had to choose between the Herbert and D-Moll?

Very nice !!! I think this calls for a D-Moll - Fokker comparison video :)

Hey guys, thanks for the comments and compliments, much appreciated.
Personally between the dmoll and Herbert, I would probably take the dmoll. For what I like to dial, I get very similar tones to what I would dial with the Herbert. The mid voicing seems slightly tweaked too. The Herbert probably does a lot more, I just wouldn't use it, so the dmoll makes more sense for me. As for a vid comparison between the Fokker and Dmoll, I will try to work on something. Both very different sounding amps to me, but both still have that diezel flavor.

Wow that sounds great. I didn't really have much interest in the Lil Fokker, but now I wouldn't mind giving one a go.

Damn, that sounds great!

Reminds me a bit of the VH4. But definitely less compressed and meaner. Has a really good growl.

What speakers in the cab?

Hey thanks man, I really dig your recordings too. The quality of sound you've gotten out of gear that most people would scoff at amazes me. That vw clip was crazy, lol. Lot of respect for that, and I bet you would sound amazing on this too.
