Hi everyone!
I got a new ENGL Savage 120 Mk2 in October, and I'm loving every moment with it.
I love everything about this amp, and it sounds amazing.
All my amp setting are for live volume (100-105db)
I run it through a Mesa 2x12, and control it all with a Helix LT in 4CM.
One thing I noticed after a lot of tweaking:
The "Tonal Balance" Knob affects your Ch 3-4 tone, even when the Rough/Smooth Button is not engaged (OFF).
I found that when you turn the knob to the left, it darkens the tone a bit.
And if you turn the knob to the right, it brightens the tone.
It sort of reminds me of a weak Presence knob
I have my Tonal Balance Knob set all the way to FULL because of this anomaly
I'm hoping some other Savage Mk2 owners will test out this finding at live volume (CH 3-4 Vol: 2pm, Master Vol: 10pm),
and let us know what they find here. Thanks!
