Had it on layaway since last summer. Being that I already have 2 (a black halfstack and ivory halfstack) I needed this like a hole in the head but I couldn't resist it. If I didn't get it someone else would have. Ivory 5150 III signed by the man himself when he came into Guitar Center back in 07'. My buddy is a manager and gave me the heads up they were going to sell it.

This one is one of the first several made it's #000487 it's got the original Sovtek power tubes in it and the original mix of Sovtek 12ax7's and EH 12ax7's. My other two are serial #'s 2017 and 3844 and both have JJ's in the power but one has the JJ's in the pre and the other one has the original mix if Sovtek and EH in the pre amp section. I'll be curious to see if this one sounds any different. I'm thinking about buying some spray can type of clear coat I could spray over that area. Anybody have any thoughts about what type or brand I could use over the autographed area of the amp that won't harm the tolex in some way?

You could always cut a piece of plexi-glass to fit over the top. You could hold it down with the screws right into the corners and probably even the ones in the handle. Easily removable.
 
I'm thinking any kind of clear coat would would discover the Ivory to a yellow? I'll either go with the plexi idea or just put the amp cover on it and leave it in my music room and forget about it.
 
3M makes some 3-mil thick adhesive coating in clear plastic sheets for protecting MX bike's that would protect it forever...
You'd never be able to remove it without harming the sig though, the stickie stuff on it is unreal
just a thought....
