NAD: FJA5150II Metal Mod

Killer tone and Killer Playing. I Have a 5150 II and definitely want to mod the amp after listening to your sound.
 
I got a some questions about this mod so I figure I'd answer them in this thread.

I don't think the mod takes away any gain. To my ears it has atleast as much. I don't run the preamp much higher than 5.5-6. Like I mentioned before the amp is still a 5150. Just now it's clearer and more open. Much of the fizziness associated with this amp is gone. I think that anyone who likes the 5150 will love this mod, but you have to like the 5150 in the first place. Hope that helps.

Just noticed where you have the master volume in those videos. Turn it up! You'll hit the sweet spot at about 3-4 on the master. Couldn't figure out you had so much noise in the videos then I realized you have it set real low.

Jerry if I play this amp with the volume at 3-4 in that small room I'll pumble the camcorders mic. I'm sure me and my buds will have another ampfest prolly sooner than later. Will give it some volume there and get some clips up. But yeah I had the volume up and it's a beast.
