I honestly would love to hear a 6505 vs Butterslax video shootout much like the JP2C / Butterslax video currently on YouTube which to my feeble ears (A+ player giving the demos) puts those two neck and neck in the thick syrup of "vintage meets modern" high gain stuff.

Would love to see if the garden variety 6505 variant could hang with these two newbie $2500+ super heads.

Not saying that the butterslax is some inferior quality or anything like that, I just cant stand why amp prices need to be so damm high.

So in that sense, I rationalize a workhorse hard driving amp like a 6505 to be a strong rival.

Yes, a comparison would be very interesting. For flat out balls to the wall, I have a hard time thinking it could beat a 6505.
