I'm pretty new here, but I wanted to give a shout out to Dave and Rack Systems.

I play in a classic rock and blues band here in Michigan. After admiring Dave's amps, I had an opportunity to pick up a used Dirty Shirley. I loved the tone, but after having been through a few one channel amps, I realized I'm not a one channel amp guy. I like having two channels, and I also like a lead boost.

Dave was great from beginning to end.....his customer service is top notch! So, thank you Dave and rack systems, for building my Friedman BE dream amp! It's worth every dime, and I can't wait to fly this bird in a few weeks!!

I heard you say that the extra knob is a extra knob for the hbe channel. My question is is the knob just a seperate master for the hbe channel or is it used in combination with the main master to dial in the amount of gain from the extra tube?

Enjoy the amp! I still love my BE-100 and my brand new Pink Taco

Thanks guys. Practice Tuesday of next week, and that will be the real test. 2 outdoor gigs coming up, and I'm totally stoked. The dynamics of this amp are UNREAL!! I can't wait to see how it cuts the mix.

Even though I play with humbuckers, I love the FAT switch engaged. HUGE difference IMO.

Good call, one of the best sounding and feeling amps I've ever played through.

The HBE needs that volume control, IMO. Should be standard.

Awesome. Congratulations. I would have gotten the BE100 if I could have afforded it but I'm stuck still waiting for my damned Smallbox. I've been going down to GC to play the BE100 lately and it blows me away every time I play it. Hindsight it always 20/20 as the say. You're a lucky dude to own one.

Congrats...!!!

I just got a brand spanking new BE100 a week ago today myself

I will admit I was torn on this amp trying it in the store until I brought it home and spent the weekend with it...

I had recently bought a Friedman 4x12 and was totally digging that and now I have the head too.

My tastes have changes a lot in the last 3 years and this amp is a beyond total home run for me period.

I WANT TO BUY A SECOND ONE NOW !!!

G.

I want to live somewhere that has a GC which stocks Friedman amps...LOL

Happy New Amp Day!

I'm on the hunt for one myself!

Hadn't seen the separate MV for the HBE before! Looks like Dave will give you just about anything you desire!
HBE needs master volume? Done
Got'a BE100 but you want it to sound like a JJ? Low shift switch, done!
More Mids? Okay will give you a mids knob, done!

It's like being a kid in a very nice CANDY STORE. ;)

Congrats! I have yet to play the BE 100, but I love my smallbox. The friedman master volume is sick! It works better than power scaling (and I a/b'd it with my suhr badger 30, before I sold the badger). Effects loop is great, line out kills for wet/dry setups and the like. Just amazing, bulletproof amps. You will not regret your purchase! I'll be saving up for another friedman. These amps are so flexible it's insane.

DUDE.... Is that extra mod knob a solo boost or what? That is about the only thing I wish the BE100 had that my Splawn had... a separate master or whatever to get an actually volume boost instead of just a HBE gain boost. That an a variac switch.
