Nad! Friedman JJ 100 incoming

Ok guys so I traded my PRS to Brian (Lyres Requiem) for his Friedman JJ 100.

I should have it by the weekend! As an EVH player, what can I expect from the JJ? Will I be blown away? I simply love my stealth el34 and all the other versions and I've never owned nor played a Friedman. Not the first time I've got an amp without having ever played it. All the clips I've heard sound really freaking good. I know we've got some members that also own both brands... give me some feedback here guys! I'm super excited to get it! Of course I'll give the full boner report once it shows up and I've got an opportunity to test into it!

It is a fun amp to play. I can't imagine you not smiling and enjoying it regardless of what you are used to playing. Congrats!
 
How about the fx loop? I hear it's really nice and makes modulation based fx sound great.

Great amp, great loop as well. More gain than one could ever need!
 
Can't speak for the JJ, but I had the opportunity to spend some time with the BE 100, and I was blown away.
Your gonna love the JJ. :thumbsup:
 
Spot on about the grin while playing :D

I had some guitar playing friends listen to the amp's JBE channel and they said that it was the first amp of that price category of which the sound justified the price.

It really is an awesome amp. Have lots of fun with it!
 
Nate! Congrats on the incoming JJ! I own a BE and have played a JJ at the Westheimer GC. I like the cleans better on the JJ than the BE, the JJ "BE" channel is a little darker and more modern than the BE "BE" channel and the JBE...well...think of AIC's recent albums. It's got tons of gain but not as tight as the 5153s you're used to. It's also darker but I think you'll like it.
 
Only amp left on my bucket list. The "JJ".
