I took delivery on this bad boy earlier this week and have been playing it every night.
It is a beast, I can't wait to run it together with my vh4..
Thanks Brad King for hooking me up!
I wasn't expecting to get a signed one so that is a bonus

Congrats!

Do you know if you have the TAD tubes that the newer ones are shipping with? I have an early one and still on the original tubes, I've been thinking of ordering a set of the TAD's but I haven't heard any clips with them to compare.

I'll pull the back panel of and give a look tonight or tomorrow. I don't really have any good way to record other than my I phone at the moment, but I'll see what I can do to try and record.

Brad still has a store?

...oh yeah,,,nice amp

Hey Guys,

Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. lol

Thanks Tom for the repeat business. Yes I am still very active and no I know longer have a brick and mortar store as I live in Los Angeles, CA. I have a few things in the fire at the moment but definitely very involved in the guitar world & able to visit with all of my friends/music industry peeps here in Cali all the time these days.

I am very aggressive on pricing and personal service (Ask Tom aka...base34)1 how his deal went with delivery, communication and what he got). I understand for some of you you will seek your gear elsewhere and some will give me a shot to earn your business again I appreciate you considering me either way. If you need a new Friedman, Diezel, ESP Custom Shop, 65 Amps and lots of high end pre owned and vintage gear. I also am buying pretty heavy if you have something cool to sell thats unique.

Best

Great amp, I love mine!
Not sure what speakers you are using, but 2-v30's/2-creambacks sound absolutely incredible with this head

Wouldn't ever hesitate doing business w/you again, Brad. You actually brought me here

Also, congrats on the amp! I played one down @ Dave's shop...played it for like an hour. It was nothing short of enjoyable and had I the dough, I'd definitely pick one up.

Only amp left on my "to buy" list. If it's all that and a bag of chip? Great - I'm done. If not? I'll sell it and be happy with what I have. But it's the oooooooooonly one left I'm planning on bagging. Period.

Love Cantrell, love his tone, I play a tonne of AIC covers, and find the music inspirational. I've been able to manage just fine with a Fish, Purple Mod TJ and Rev2 to get most of the tones, but having "AIC" in a "box" singlehandedly is a great notion. Not to mention a whack of other tasty tones too (I don't really try to "cop" other players' tones, but hey, if yer playing covers and know the catalogue, it's a good thing to "sound" like the original as best as possible).

Peace - and MEGA congratz!!

I'd be quite surprised if you were disappointed with it. Everything from Dirt to Dinosaurs is in there and can be found without much effort.

had mine for over a year....will NEVER sell it. for what you are up to there is no question in my mind that you will love it. it really is AIC in a box. i also own a 20th shiva and the JJ is far more modern sounding to my ears. granted i LOVE the clean on the 20th, but for gain the JJ hands down. i will say the 20th can push a bit more gain...

As contrarian as it may sound typing this here, with the amps discussed and the board overall, I'm actually less and less about "maximum gain" and more about articulation, growl, definition, and percussiveness of the amp. It really started to make a difference to me when mic'ing and actually moving up the amps MV dial to "substantial levels". Potency - SPL - volume - hearing this with an amp retaining and maintaining its focus made me realize gain can be your enemy. Mic an amp that sounds "right" at low levels and it s sounds like a bee-hive, sit in a mix with a high-gain amp gained out and your fuzzy and lost, get an amp with teeth that bite? Game on.

I was the JJ as the clips I've checked out on YT and the like are showing me an amp that's got the tone I seek without too much gain. Ya, I own the Sheevs as well and it's a gain monster, but I am pulling back more and more on this aspect of tone shaping and becoming happier with the results.

But to the OP - can't wait to join the club!!!! Enjoy the shit out of that amp :2thumbsup: (you too hatrick00  )
