NAD: Friedman Jose Arredondo…Yes, it Chugs!

I just unboxed it and grabbed my drop C guitar with Fishman Moderns and yes it chugs without a boost. I was worried it wouldn’t have enough gain on tap but it certainly does and I didn’t even max it out. I had a BE100 Deluxe awhile back and this feels less squishy/compressed to me. I need to record some clips.

These are settings I set up within 5 minutes out of the box and didn’t change it for an hour. I’m sure I’ll need more time to dial it in further but so far it was pretty fun to riff on.

so you played the guitar for an hour, then posted NAD on here...and didn't put up even one clip

 
I know, I know. I need to connect up my loadbox and record some freestyle sloppy riffing.
 
👍👍 still waiting to get an email invite to buy one. Glad to see people are receiving their orders and the amp is meeting expectations.

I don’t know. I think it can be done even without a boost. I need to get some clips uploaded. Maybe not 7 string chugga but sounds pretty killer in drop C.
 
The overall gain sounds good but it sounds congested in the low mids to me. Maybe too much saturation being used in these clips or needs a nice low output pickup to open it up a bit.
 
Sounds very good in that new video above. No boost required if you have the right pickups.
 
I’m surprised there aren’t more clips out by now?

I need to get around to recoding some clips. I was playing around more with it yesterday and got a nice boosted tone with an SD-1 but backed off the gain on the amp and tweaked the bass settings and fat switch. It honestly doesn’t need a boost even with max gain and setting volume II to 50-75% with volume I maxed.
 
If anyone in Michigan gets one, let me know. We can run it next to my plex 🤙🏽
