Just got it and only played it for a bit. An '83 2203 with the HBE/BE/C45 mod, added tube, no loop. Sounds awesome! The C45 switch is too much with HBE. BE with C45 is about where my gain target is. There is an extra hole next to the C45 switch so if I can do away with that switch I've already got the holes for a loop. Other than the few obvious tolex tears and rear panel mangle it's cosmetically pretty good. No Jose MV but yesterday I just happened to get a package from Mouser with 2N5400/MPSA06/1N4745 thru 49. ;)

Great score! I've always wondered how this would sound directly compared to a BE100.

Thanks guys! JakeAC, the C45 was described to me as 'more of everything' and that's about right. With BE it's cool but with HBE imo it's too much.

The power tubes are a mix of Marshall-badged JJ E34Ls and Mesa SEDs. Pres are a random mix so some tube rolling is def in order. Hopefully a pair of the many used-but-still-have-life SEDs I have will match the Mesas (I think one says 442 but it's hard to read, look like SEDs).
