NAD: Friedman Smallbox - Pretty impressive!

How much does the smallbox differ from the BE channel? I'm guessing it can't be more than a few parts.

not a bad amp at all for primary not metal amp. I liked classic TS9 boost best, it fits the amp more than Buxom. It has lot of bass so boost is a must. Sound good alone but in band it isn’t most cutting amp. Enjoy honeymoon ?

I disagree. Boosted with the right OD, it's a tight metal machine. I don't see the honeymoon wearing off any time soon.

I would like to try a Smallbox. The JJ Jr I had was too polite for me in a mix and I couldn't get it to cut all that well. Sounded great on it's own but by the time I could hear it the way I wanted to, it was so loud that it drowned everything else out.

Anyone tried the Buxom boost ? I’m thinking about adding one to hit the X amp a little harder. Friedman amps feel so awesome so I’m trying to find a boost or OD that keeps that right where it is.

I use a Buxom with my Small Box. Works awesome. I recently just bought and built a Ceriatone Centura. This thing works incredibly well with the Small Box.
