Congrats!! A lot of press and hype over this amp - looking forward to hearing what it can do

Say, whose shoes are under the table? Is it me or are they super small?? If it's kids' shoes, no biggy, but I'm always keen to know who keeps a midgy 'round the homefront.

Really? I shot this video Last year! Sounds like a badass amp if you ask me!
There's nothing in this video about the shoes man.

All SS-100s come with a pair of Steve's signature kicks...

Friedman had posted many moons ago that the SS100 is indeed a slightly revoiced BE100.
I played both. Lots of comments in the RACK SYSTEMS subforum and in old threads here.
Killer amp for sure.

Aaaargh *droool* congrats!

According to the clips, it sounds (to me) more chewy, less crisp but fatter kinda like a souped up '68 JMP, a bit more mid orientated less aggressive compared to the BE. I could imagine this would sound AWESOME with some nice vintage greenbacks. Just pure rock heaven. Fatter, more controlled and heavier bottom end compared to a vintage Marshall.
More open than a BE in general but still with a modern "edge" The BE is more angry with hair.

Does that add up? haha

Yeah Friedman said it was a slight variation on the BE...less modern and a little more compressed I believe.

I thought he said it was a little more open sounding with a bit less gain/compression???

He also said that the SS is more modern. . .not less.

Not to me he didn't. I could be wrong about the compression part though.

Strange. Steve Stevens himself had said that the SS was a little more modern compared to the BE.

SS also commented in a few interviews when asked about the amp, that he wanted [and subsequently got] a really super sparkly, chiming, Fender'ish clean channel into the circuit.

That's all I know.

What a great looking and most certainly sounding amp!

Congrats and enjoy!

:)

I remeber that and I also remeber Dave saying it was more vintage sounding than the BE. I'd have agree with Steve.
