Ok, so I thought I was scaling things back- sold my Revv just a few days ago. I loved that amp...had it dialed in perfect so it was time to go

But I just snagged a KSR Ares off the verb. I really dug it when I played it at Kiesel showroom....plus there some people here- you know who you are- who keep lighting the Ares gas

Wait... what?  Grats on the Ares! I hope you manage to dial it in perfect too ;)

So you're the one that bought that Ares!! I've been eyeballing that for a couple weeks and desperately wanted to pull the trigger on it.

Yes, that amp was staring at me for more than a few weeks on watch list.

I think I must enjoy the process of setting up and programming a whole new rig for live patches for my band that never gigs. I bounced from a traditional pedalboard to looper pedalboard to Kemper to fx8 to Boss ms3 back to Kemper controller, Boss ms3 and then fx8 and Kemper again.

I think I settled in with Kemper as the live rig- the morphing feature sounds like studio magic, really dig that. But the KSR was such a screaming deal I couldn't resist!

I flipped a lot of amps that I loved but flipped after dialing it in- Framus Cobra, OR100, Rhodes modded Dual Rec, Fort modded VM2466, Revv 120. They were all killer amps. I have a serious flip frenzy condition.

I have 6 months no interest through PayPal, which likely means that no matter how awesome this sounds it is going up fs by early August

You had the Gen 120?

I agree with you, killer amp. Very killer. It is starting to make me put all my other amps aside...... Even my BE 100. Only one that holds up is my UL. My Peters too but the Revv can get the same tones.......

Crazy amp. Curious to hear your thoughts on the Ares vs The 120.

If I was using a tube amp live, that would be the one. 4 channels, all awesome in their own way. So many tones to explore just hanging out flipping those toggles on just one channel. Cuts in a mix like nothing I've ever had, very polished studio sounding. But refell in love with my Grind>DMoll chain and really use the Kemper 95% of the time in studio and live anyway (which has been primarily my Revv profiles)...I thought I would flip the Revv and get in on the Fortin amp this week but I never pulled the Fortin trigger. Kind of hesitated on the white/want a black one.

I could see another Revv in my future...just have the insatiable need to switch it up and try new things. Likely because of my band situation has frustrated the crap out of me resulting in red levels of GAS pain. Can't get a decent lineup together so I'll throw some money at a new rig, lol!

That's the spirit, new rigs are always fun!!!!!

Yeah, building a new rig and switching things up un the rack is always fun, been at it for years. But i am now more focused on finding the perfect setup and leave it be. Just focus on playing and learning new songs. Change up a pedal here and there but the main rig is mainly cemented.

Had multiple Fortin's and never geled with them, had a Natas and a Meathead nad nope, not for me. Even my Friedman is feeling the heat of the Revv. Channel 4 with no aggression setup fairly bright with some reverb gets a nice VH ish tone. Love it.

Channel 2 boosted with my Savage drive gets a very nice AC/DC type crunch. Pretty bad ass also.

Only my UL feels unchallenged. Has a very heavy bark with the Savage boosting it, thumps real hard.

Sold my Ares a while back on here. It was a badass amp for sure.

God these posts and vids of ceres are killing me. My Orthos is supposed to ship by the end of the week. I am typically a patient guy but Im excited. I also found out today I get my yearly bonus in two weeks so I've been window shopping but I dont want to grab anything until I hear my amp. More than likely Im going to get a KSR cab but I cant help looking at new amps. G.A.S. is worse than a drug addiction
