Congrats! I picked one up a lil while ago. It's been killer. I've gotten tons of compliments on my tone from other musicians and every sound guy that's mixed w/ it so far. It's been money in the studio too.

I traded him my Baron B60, but IIRC, he's playing a Single Recto with his band these days.

As for the Koko boos Devilinside... right now the amp fits all of my needs as so I can't imaging throwing a boost in front. But, I've got two more gears should I need more gain or saturation down the road.

Made the trade with Bill, who I was honored to meet last friday. Guys, check out his band...they rip some dio! Anyway, I would be lying if I said I didn't kinda miss my quickrod....Hell, if I had shit tons of money, I'd own them all. 5 years with the tone monster evil pumpkin, I figured what the hell? My wife actually got kinda mad at me for trading it....but I just had to try the Baron! It is a rare amp, and that intrigues me.....

The Splawn is killer, and it has good mojo. I did a little tube swapping in the Baron yesterday(my own little tweaks), and this thing is damn versatile. I'll post some clips as well! I just know now Bill is making Duck faces like me, and that gives me a good feeling!

Oh i totally understand the QR does not need a boost or extra gain. The most ive used is 2nd gear OD1 even for super heavy stuff. If you got everything you need then no need to look further, i just totally swear by that pedal because you can set the gain on the amp for extreme clarity without overdoing it then just barely open up the koko and its awesome. I think its more of a feel thing in that with the pedal playing just becomes effortless and notes just fly
