NAD! Lickliter modded 6505+

Just unpacked it so I snapped this with my iphone while I was waiting for it to warm up. No clips yet.

I get a lot of locals dudes bringing me 5150's and 6505+'s for new tubes so I dig these amps! I just had a stock 6505+ here the other day which is why I was interested in the Lickliter modded version after checking out Mike's video clips. This amp is badass! Very aggressive with more clarity and less mud in comparison to stock. Much tighter also. Really great sounding amp and I have spent all of 15 minutes with it. Stock tubes even sound good but I will be replacing those next week since I have no idea how old they are.

A couple things about Mike Lickliter... Gotta love a guy who under-promises and over-delivers! He said he would ship amp early next week and ended up shipping it the following day. It shipped Thursday and got here Saturday. Pack job was great. Amp was in much better than described condition cosmetically. Very happy with the amp and would highly recommend working with Mike.

Never tried. I go for ass kicking, I hate you tone with my amps.

Yup....not much of a "brown sound" guy either....
My version of BROWN SOUND probably sounds like Death metal to most.

I like both clips, but IMHO the 5153 has less presence.
